As always, we have some practical tips to help you get through it. But first, let’s take a moment to see how you’re doing.

A few things that actually help:

• 🌙 Shift bedtime gradually — 15 minutes earlier every few days beats one big jump

• 🗣️ Name the feeling before the fix — "You're nervous about the new classroom" goes further than "You'll be fine!"

• 🎒 Practice the routine, not just the packing — walk through drop-off or the morning sequence before day one

• 🤗 Build in a reconnection ritual — a special handshake or a few minutes of undivided attention after school helps big feelings land softly

We Have a New Occupational Therapist!
